Moving home is easier when the planning starts early. This checklist is based on hundreds of moves our crews have handled across Muscat.
Two to three weeks before
- Book your movers and confirm the date in writing
- Sort items to keep, donate or sell
- Check building rules for lift bookings and moving hours
- Start using up food in the freezer
One week before
- Pack rooms you use least first
- Label every box with the room and a short content list
- Keep documents, jewellery and medicines in a separate bag
- Arrange electricity and water transfer
Moving day
- Defrost and dry the fridge the night before
- Photograph TV and computer cables before unplugging
- Walk through each room with the crew leader
- Check the empty home before the truck leaves
At the new home
Tell the crew where each room is so boxes go straight to the right place. Our team reassembles beds, wardrobes and tables and removes packing waste.
